a whip between two fly bois
“ Should I post another car that no-one can afford?” I asked myself as I scrolled down the pics. Then I saw planes and was like “obviously, yes. There are planes, the Oppos love planes, let’s give em some planes”
Then...the seats! This could be an un popular opinion but, I am DOWN!
Big step gettin in here
I don’t know what the current barrel price on peasant tears is, but this thing is just neeto.
This is where you steer it

Hot take: give me one of these over a Corvette C1 any day of the week.

I dig the Honda Jet.

I like it. I definitely like the seats as well. (why would someone dislike those seats?)

Peasant tears have really plummeted in value this year due to dramatically increased supply. If it is an artisanal blend you might get $35 a barrel. Not enough for a gullwing unless you have a very miserable village tucked away somewhere.

Thats not even a take, its common sense

So I thought these were more holier than expected. Turns out c1s go for 250k where 300SLs eclipse the 1mil mark often. Oof.
But I did find this as well:

Never don't post plaid seats.

C1s hit $250k? Maybe a pristine 57 Fuelie?
This gull wing is at $1.15M. And I'll bet lunch that it hasn't met reserve.

Yep, even with the engines in the wrong place.

Yeah, gullwings are super duper expensive.
And wow, that Senna looks ridiculous with it's ride height jacked up like that. Lower it back down to take photos, jeez

Here’s the only one I can afford.

Not that a car like this will ever get that much wear, but I wonder what material those seats are made out of? I generally thought automotive manufacturers did a lot of testing with the durability of fabrics, and whatnot. For someone reupholstering a car, the same standards wouldn’t apply.
I’m not saying the seats will wear out prematurely... especially since this thing will probably never be driven more than a few hundred miles a year (if that). But it does make me wonder.

I’m sure there is noticible wear even after a few rides, no worries you can just have it re upholstered every couple weeks if you want haha

better place.

If other OEMs follow suit, I’ll agree.

Saw one of these at the gas station in town earlier this week. Who would hav e thought someone would be driving one of these through rural Maine....
Also saw a Holden Ute this morning, with Maine registration. This has been a very interesting week for car spotting.

They didnt like the position because of an old German passenger jet looked ugly but also lost performance from the position. This way, there is no heavy structure in the aft fuselage, allowing more use of space as well. Their positioning is done right in this case and does not suffer the performance loss. It isnt the usual way, but better overall. About 150 delivered so far.

Oh, I understand the reason for the placement but unless there’s some kind of patent I’d expect to see other bizjet OEMs copy it if they think it’s beneficial.

Downside is that would require a whole new type/clean-sheet design for them, where most of their new creations are ‘parts-bin’ in a way, a wing from this model, engine from this model, body from this, but stretched., etc. Honda had the benefit of not having all of that cost savings sitting around and had to build from the ground up. Kinda wild someone starting from scratch like that.

Most impressive to me is the fact that Honda was not an established aerospace company before the HondaJet. They developed the HF120 turbofan with GE but the airframe was all Honda.
I think the jet you referenced before was the Fokker 614?
